While yes, that is when the market does take a turn up, the truth is that the best time of year to sell depends upon your specific circumstances.⁠ For upsizers it may be in your best interest to sell in the late Winter months, February and March. 

 

That is the time of year when the qualified buyers are getting back out there and looking to beat the spring rush. When you mix buyers ready to act and limited inventory to compete against your listings becomes more in demand and that is a recipe for success. Waiting into the summer may bring more buyers but will also bring more competition and inventory.
