Introducing Lovely Leamington
You can take County Road 3 right into the heart of the city centre. This will lead you to some of the main roads in the town such as Erie Street North, Oak Street East, and Talbot Street East. Many of the local businesses are located along these main roads. Leamington has all the typical major brand businesses like FreshCo, Domino’s, Tim Hortons, Canadian Tire, McDonalds, the LCBO, and the Beer Store.
Like the other small neighbouring towns, Leamington is home to many small and locally owned shops and businesses. The obvious businesses are of course the big farms such as Nature Fresh Farms, Great Lakes Greenhouses, and DiCocco Farms that not only employ many locals, but are also major economy drivers for the area. Beyond that there are the local businesses that call Leamington home. Many of the popular places are all local places. Oma’s Kitchen, Tacos Tony, Capri Pizza, Oven 360, Jose’s Bar and Grill, Joey’s Seafood, Mezza, TJ’s Bar and Grill and for dessert GingerBread House or Sweet Retreat Ice Cream and More. The Town of Leamington follows in its neighbouring town’s image. They are a close knit community, where everyone seems to know everyone. Everyone supports each other, supports local business, and supports their neighbours in any way they can.
If a must have for your next home is the outdoors for activities, Leamington has you covered. Let’s start with parks. If you are looking for greenspace, maybe some jungle gyms or activities for kids, or just a place to run around, there are no shortage of parks in the area. William Simpson Park, Wilhelm Park, Pearl Park, Selkirk Park, Dieppe Park, Chestnut Park, Hyatt Park, Carolina Woods Park, and Lloyd Wilkinson Park are just some of the many, many green spaces and parks in the area. If you are a fan of hiking, walking, or looking for trails, Leamington has an abundance of them, running throughout the city centre and its parks that are perfect for a walk, run, or bike ride. Leamington is also home to the Hillman Marsh Conservation Area and the Kopegaron Woods Conservation Area. Two more awesome places to visit for a hike, trail ride, or walk and take in nature and some beautiful views. Dog lovers rejoice, Leamingotn has a place for your pup to mingle with other dogs, play, and get their zoomies out at the Rotary Club Leash Free Dog Park. Leamington also has some of the most beautiful outdoor activity spaces along the banks of Lake Erie. Seacliff Park is a gorgeous trail system leading to the water that is also home to a community amphitheater. ALso along the water is the beautiful Waterfront Promenade and Rich Atkin Park. An amazing river walk and green space area that connects to the Leamington Marina. For local sports the town has multiple facilities. The Leamington Kinsmen Recreation Complex is home to Leamington Flyers Jr. B. hockey as well as local grassroots hockey. The Kinsmen Baseball Diamonds facility is home to Leamington local baseball players and the Kinsmen Soccer fields are home to their soccer programs. Last and certainly not least, Leamington is home to one of Canada’s National Parks. Point Pelee National Park, Canada’s Most Southern Point, calls Leamington home. With a beach, trails for hiking, walking, and biking, a visitor centre, and more, this national park and treasure is right in your backyard. Leamington is a gorgeous and beautiful town full of all the modern amenities while also providing all the outdoor space and scenery you could ask for!
